Systems Biology of Infection
Abstract:
Systems biology is the combined use of experiment and theory with the goal of gaining a quantitative understanding of biological systems.
Accordingly, this presentation on systems biology work on bloodstream infections caused by human pathogenic fungi will be given jointly by an experimenter and a theorist. The focus will also be on the development of the research and its underlying philosophy, which should ultimately lead to the translation of basic research findings into clinical practice.
