Clear communication can make all the difference. In this FIGSS workshop, discover how mindful nonviolent communication helps you express your needs, navigate difficult conversations, and stay grounded — even under pressure.

Trainer: Kira Borgdorf

Abstract:

In social situations, expressing what truly matters to us while remaining authentic and connected to others can be challenging—especially under stress or in conflict. In this brief seminar, participants will be introduced to the basic principles of nonviolent communication and will explore how attentive presence can support clearer expression of needs, deeper listening, and more conscious responses.

Through a range of practical exercises and guided reflections, the seminar addresses common everyday situations such as dealing with misunderstandings, unspoken needs, or difficult conversations, with the aim of developing greater confidence and clarity in communication.

This seminar is open to anyone who wants to improve their communication skills, engage more constructively with others, and stay more grounded in challenging social situations. No prior experience is needed.
