Starting this month, the plantphys Colloquium will take place monthly at the FIAS. The colloquium will provide a forum for research groups from Frankfurt to present their own research results or to invite guest researchers. The lectures are held in English.

The scientific networks DynaMem, CMMS, ‘Xidian-FIAS Joint Research Center’ (XF-JRC), the Rhein-Main Universities, and the graduate program GRADE – iQbio are pleased to offer an international summer school on theoretical and experimental quantitative Cell Biology. The summer school consists of a 3 day conference with leading scientists in the field followed by a practical part completed by theory lectures in the other 3 days.

On November 18th, Jane Heffernan from York University will be the next speaker in our seminar on the multiscale modeling of Covid-19. He will give a talk on "Models to address healthcare demand and vaccination needs".

On December 2, Guillermo de Anda-Jáuregui from the National Institute of Genomic Medicine Mexico will be the next speaker in our seminar on the multiscale modeling of Covid-19. He will give a presentation on "Geospatial network epidemiology to guide economic activity during the COVID-19 pandemic in Mexico City".
