On June 18, 2026, Stefan Knapp will speak at FIAS on new approaches to drug discovery. In his talk, he will show how scientific ideas are translated into concrete therapies for rare and neurological diseases. The focus will be on innovative collaborations between academia, industry, and patients. (The talk will be given in German.)

Four times a year, the FIAS Forum examines current topics from the natural sciences and social debate in a scientific yet accessible manner. This facilitates exciting discussions about the pressing challenges in scientific research and their impact on our society. 

After the lecture, you will have the opportunity to exchange ideas with the speaker(s) and other FIAS researchers at a small reception.
