The Logistics of Neuronal Function

GIS 2018 header

Neurons need to organize the production, transport, storage, and recycling of various molecules such as neurotransmitters, mRNA, and proteins to fill their extensive dendritic and axonal arbors. How do they organize these processes to function robustly and efficiently? This first workshop on the logistics of neuronal function brings together leading experimentalists, theoreticians, and method developers to exchange ideas on this fundamental question.

Coupled with the conference, there will be a Summer School for young researchers. Leading experts will teach about the fundamentals of the logistics of neuronal function.
